The Introduction of Copper Core Board

Metal Core PCB (MCPCB) is a commonly used printed circuit board made of metal base materials, widely used in high-power LED lighting, power electronics, electrified railways, and other fields. Generally, aluminum, copper, and iron are selected as board materials, with copper core substrate being the most commonly used.

Copper core printed circuit boards have better heat dissipation performance compared to ordinary FR4 printed circuit boards, which can effectively reduce the temperature of high-power devices such as LEDs, thereby improving their life and stability. In addition, the circuit layer structure of copper based circuit boards is the same as that of ordinary FR4 printed circuit boards, which can be compatible with conventional electronic components and is convenient to use.

Because copper core printed circuit boards need to use metal materials manufacturing, compared to ordinary FR4 circuit boards, the cost is slightly higher. However, in the need of high power processing applications, its excellent heat dissipation performance and reliability can ensure the stable and reliable operation of the entire system.
