The commonly used thicknesses of international PCB copper foil are 17.5um, 35um, 50um, and 70um. If the customer does not specify, single and double sided copper thickness is generally 35um, that is, 1 amp copper. Of course, some special circuit boards will use 3OZ, 4OZ, 5OZ, 8OZ, etc., according to the product needs to choose the appropriate copper thickness.
Due to different uses, the thickness of the copper sheet also varies. Ordinary 0.5oz, 1oz, and 2oz are commonly used in consumer and communication products. Above 3oz belongs to thick copper products, mostly used for high current, such as high-voltage products and power boards!
The influence of copper thickness on printed circuit boards cannot be ignored. Choosing an appropriate copper thickness can achieve good circuit operation performance, while ensuring the reliability and stability of the circuit.
