Fluke and absoluteness

We're going to talk today about a case of Fluke and absolute.

In quality management, there is a saying, "Don't drive while drinking," which means that any operation that may have a hidden danger to the quality should be prohibited.

The relationship between accident and drinking is that drinking does not necessarily lead to an accident, but drinking alcohol will greatly increase the probability of driving accident.

When we analyzed the accident cases, we found that the reason was that the driver had drunk. What are our countermeasures? You can't drive as long as you drink, but why is this rule not obeyed? The main reason is that most people have no accident when driving after drinking, so they have a fluke mentality. And one of our quality management philosophy is: since there have been traffic accidents caused by drinking, then we forbid driving after drinking. This is the difference between the absoluteness of our quality management and the contingency of this accident. In Manufacturing, we can not take any chances.

There is also a case in the manufacturing process. A rigid flex PCB needs a covering film, so we use laser to cut the covering film. During laser processing, some carbides are generated. Because these carbides are dispersed between the lines of the PCB, the short circuit is poor. The investigation found that mainly in the production process, because the product order is small, it took a more convenient laser cutting. Laser cutting is bound to cause carbide. It seems that the occurrence of short circuit is inevitable. One might say that if we put the energy of the laser in the optimal position, it would be OK. Although we can not see, the probability of short circuit may happen is very low, but it still has the possibility. From the perspective of quality management, as long as laser cutting is used, carbide will be produced, which may lead to short circuit.

In combination with the above two points: No driving after drinking alcohol, no laser cutting covering film.
